There are many opportunities for those who would like to serve in one or more areas of this ministry. If you would like to get involved in one of the following areas, please let us know by clicking HERE.
Assisting Ministers - Traditional Services
Assists Pastor during services with chanting/reading of Psalms, leading the congregation in prayer, Communion distribution, and support during baptisms. Psalms and prayers are provided in advance for review and clarification. Training provided.
Worship Leader - Contemporary Services
This is usually a member of the praise team, Power of Praise. They function in much of the same way the Assisting Minister does in the Traditional Service, but they also introduce each song and help with the flow of worship in partnership with the Pastor.
Lay Readers - Read the Old Testament and New Testament readings in both services
Altar Guild - Members of the Altar Guild are responsible for preparing communion, setting up for baptisms, changing the paraments, and supporting other worship preparation and cleanup.
Bread Bakers - Bake bread for communion
Ushers - Ushers welcome everyone into the building and into worship on Sunday mornings. They ensure that folks have bulletins as needed, are available to give directions to visitors, bring up the offering, and help with communion. They also reset the sanctuary after each service by straightening out the chairs, cleaning up any trash, restocking the seat backs, and other needs as requested.
Musicians - If singing or playing an instrument is your gift, there are so many ways to share it! Whether it's with our choir, bell choir, special musical offering, or playing/singing with Power of Praise, we have a place for you.
