St. Andrew is a church where all are welcomed, fed, and nourished in the name of Jesus Christ. In baptism, parents promise to live with their children among God's faithful people; bring them to the word of God and the holy supper; teach them the Lord's Prayer, the Creed, and the Ten Commandments; place in their hands the holy scriptures; and nurture them in faith and prayer. The congregation promises to support and pray for the baptized in their new life in Christ. At St. Andrew, we help our families keep their promises by keeping ours--Sunday school, Confirmation, high school opportunities, and other CYF programs supports everyone at every point in their faith journeys.
Our Sunday school year began September 21, 2025! Class is held weekly during part of our 2nd service, from 11am-11:30am. We offer classes for children ages 4 through 6th grade, with volunteer opportunities for older students and adults.

As an ELCA congregation, we affirm and practice infant baptism, and invite our 7th and 8th grade students to prepare to affirm the baptismal promises made on their behalf. Most people call this "Confirmation". While it is not a sacrament in the Lutheran church, it is an important part of faith formation for all baptized people. It also serves to transition our students from a Sunday school format to a young adult/adult education format, and to teach them more about the whys, hows, and whats of our faith. Most importantly, it reminds them of God's abiding, abundant love for them, and invites them into a deeper and more intentional relationship with God and the church.
We meet Sunday nights from 6-7:30pm at Grace Lutheran Church, along with St. James Lutheran's confirmation students.

If your child is older than 7th or 8th grade and would like to go through Confirmation, please contact Pr Jenna via the church office. This is increasingly common, and we are happy to work with your kid and family to make it work.
Our high schoolers join with the the high school youth at Grace Lutheran and St. James 1-2x a month for dinner, bible study, and fellowship. The bible study centers around tough questions from the book, Can I Ask That? Volume 2. What does scripture and our tradition teach us about the difficult, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful things we experience in life? Where and how does God show up?
Fellowship events sometimes take place with the Confirmation fellowship events--like Richardson's in October and the Hot Chocolate Walk in November--but other times they will be events just for the high schoolers.
To get your kid/s connected with the youth group, please contact the church office.
