Dear St. Andrew family of faith,

As we introduced last fall, we are shifting how we navigate our annual financial commitments to St. Andrew. Rather than having a fall stewardship campaign/season in 2025, we focused on giving thanks for all those who serve at church, share their gifts with St. Andrew, and discerning what our gifts and talents are.

In worship this upcoming Sunday, we are taking the next step in our stewardship ministry as part of our annual meeting. When it feels like we never have enough--whether that's time, money, or skills good enough to share--God fulfills his promise of enough. A promise that seems impossible, yet through God it becomes not only possible, but is accomplished.

A big part of our annual meeting is our annual budget. We review the previous year's gifts (income) and how we used those gifts for ministry (expenses). And then--we approve the new budget (how we want to do ministry moving forward). The challenge we face is that God then calls us to ensure that the budget is funded and also supported through time and talents. It isn't just aspirational, or what we hope to do, but what we are saying we will do and how we'll make it happen.

Every household will receive a household commitment card, and those not in worship this week will receive either a digital or physical copy depending on your requested method of communication.

Using the next two weeks as a time of prayer and discernment regarding how God is calling you to share your time, talents, and resources as stewards of all that has been entrusted to you, we will gather our commitment cards in worship on February 15. If you are unable to be in worship that Sunday, you can mail your card to church, email your card to our church Treasurer Anastasia Carmona (bookkeeper@salcmundelein.org), or bring it to worship the following week.

Thank you for all the ways in which you are already a good steward of God's gifts, and for your prayerful discernment of your stewardship in this next year. God has already accomplished so much through St. Andrew, and I am deeply hopeful about how God is inviting us to serve his people in the next several years. Your good stewardship of your time, talents, and treasures has been and will continue to be essential to God's work. Thank you!

Peace,

Pr Jenna
